Gmail is popular for personal mailing ever since it was introduced in 2004. Among the things I love about Google's free e-mail service is the vast storage, terrific spam filters, fast search, and the ability to automatically forward mail to another address.

         I am sharing some tips for using Gmail that would be useful for the readers/users:-

Some shortcuts for Gmail: Type the query in the search box and get fast/following results.

• in:inbox              for Inbox
• is:unread             for Unread mails
• is:chat                 for Chat mails
• is:read                 for Read mails
• in:spam               for Spam box
• in:trash                for Trash mails
• is:starred             for Marked mails
• is:work                for labels, you can replace it with personal label

How To Disable Chat Option in Gmail/Yahoo

There are following Steps Through-which We Can Disable Chat Menu/Option in Gmail and Yahoo in Particular Computer for all Users.
You Can Specify Some Settings in your Computer.
Steps:-
1)Open Hosts file that is located at   ( C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc)
2) Right click on hosts file and open it in notepad
3) Add the following entry on hosts file after last line

127.0.0.1 chatenabled.mail.google.com

127.0.0.1 webcs.msg.yahoo.com

127.0.0.1 httpcs.msg.yahoo.com

4)Then save the file.

5)You may need to restart your computer.
